Taco Mary:

News - July 2008: Mary Novak's short script "Taco Mary" is one of six finalists in the DC Shorts Film Festival's Screenplay Competition. The festival presents a staged reading/performance of the scripts and Mary will cast and direct the reading. The winner receives $1000 to start production and $1000 with a finished film. DC Shorts will run from September 11-14, the screenplay competiton will be on Saturday, September 13 at 7PM.

Highlights:

News - July 2008: Co-Producer/Art Director, Laurie Little has won the Art Direction award for Highlights at the Long Island International Film Expo and will be at the opening Night Festivities. She will be conducting a Q and A after the screening on Sunday at 4:30.

Writer/Director, Mary Novak attended the premiere of Highlights at the Sacramento International Film Fest in the spring and we won the Best Family Short award for "Highlights" at the Garden State Film Fest in Asbury Park, New Jersey the same week. Highlights will be screening at the Long Island Film Expo on July 13th at 4:30PM and will have it's European Premiere at the Salento International Film Fest in Tricase, Italy in September. We are currently in the pre-production stage on a short comedy titled "Taco Mary".
